Who Can Participate?

  • The competition is open worldwide to AI enthusiasts, students, researchers, and professionals.
  • You can participate as an individual or as part of a team (maximum 10 members per team).
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Employees and contractors of Ready Tensor are welcome to submit entries for showcase purposes, but are ineligible to win any prizes.

How to Participate

  • Create a free Ready Tensor account if you don't already have one.
  • Create a new publication on our platform.
  • Enter your publication into the 'NLP Projects Expo 2024'.
  • Submit your publication before the deadline (October 28th, 2024, 11:59 PM UTC).

What's a 'Publication'?

In this competition, a 'Publication' is a structured write-up of your AI/ML/data science project on our Ready Tensor platform. It can take various forms:

  • A technical report or article
  • A project report
  • A research paper
  • A case study
  • Or any other format that effectively presents your work

Winner Selection

Four (4) Winning Publications will be selected in the following categories:

  • Best Overall Project: $500 cash prize + 1-year Pro Plan subscription for all team members
  • Most Innovative Project: $250 cash prize + 6-month Pro Plan subscription for all team members
  • Best Technical Implementation: $250 cash prize + 6-month Pro Plan subscription for all team members
  • Most Engaging Presentation: $250 cash prize + 6-month Pro Plan subscription for all team members

Our panel of AI experts will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and innovation
  • Technical merit and implementation
  • Potential real-world impact
  • Clarity and engagement of presentation
  • Community engagement (reads, likes, and shares)

Prize Disbursement

  • Cash prizes are awarded per team, not per individual team member.
  • Teams are responsible for dividing the prize money among their members.
  • All cash prizes will be disbursed through PayPal.
  • Winners must have or create a PayPal account to receive the prize.
  • PayPal will handle any necessary currency conversion for international participants.

Participation Rules

Submission Requirements:

  • All submissions must be original work.
  • You can submit projects you've worked on in the past.
  • All publications must be in English.
  • Each participant (or team) can submit up to 10 different publications.

Competition Entry:

  • Only publications created and published on Ready Tensor after August 1st, 2024 will be eligible.
  • Projects that have won prizes in previous Ready Tensor competitions are ineligible for prizes but may be submitted as showcase entries.
  • Early submissions during the submission period are encouraged as they allow your publication to garner more reads, likes and shares, which are factors considered by the judges.
  • Editing is allowed until the submission deadline.

Public Visibility:

  • By participating, you agree that your publication will be visible in the public domain on the Ready Tensor platform.

Use of Submissions:

  • You agree to allow Ready Tensor to feature your project with proper attribution.

Compliance:

  • Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Submitting a Strong Publication

Participants should submit a publication on the Ready Tensor platform describing their AI project. While the structure is flexible, we recommend including the following elements:

  • Problem statement and its real-world impact
  • Methodology and AI techniques used
  • Results and potential impact
  • Code and datasets (highly encouraged)
  • Challenges faced and lessons learned
  • Future work or improvements

Remember, while we provide these guidelines, you have the flexibility to present your project in the way you think best highlights its strengths and impact.
